Towering high above its surroundings, in this breathtakingly beautiful spot, once stood a huge monastery.
Times have changed and whilst the view is still awe-inspiring, the monastery has since been converted into a hotel.
This place breathes history; it is the ultimate peaceful spot. With 360 degree views of Majorca, you really do get the feeling that you are on top of the world here.
A few hundred metres from the hotel is a famous viewpoint which attracts plenty of day trippers. It won't inconvenience you at all but as soon as everyone has left in the afternoon, you will have the place all to yourself again and the feeling of serenity is almost tangible. You will experience some truly special times here.
The hotel, which was only established here a few years ago, is not a luxury hotel. It is, however, fully modernised and meets today's needs and standards, a unique combination.
There are 18 double rooms and 2 apartments. The rooms are situated along long corridors, typical of monastic life in the past. The rooms are not overly luxurious but that is not really what brings you to this place anyway. They have been decorated in a fresh colour scheme, bright orange and white, look very smart and are spotlessly clean as they are excellently maintained by the enthusiastic staff.
There is also no need to go hungry here thanks to the small restaurant at the hotel which serves lovely food. Not quite haute cuisine but every day, fresh ingredients are used in very tasty dishes which are either served on the spectacular terrace or at the special restaurant.
This really is an extraordinary place, extremely good value for money. We have tried to give you an idea of the special atmosphere of the place in the pictures but this is pretty much impossible considering how awe-inspiring this location is. To get a true feel for the place, you really do need to spend a few days here yourself!

Alcúdia
A small town on the north coast of Majorca, between the bays of Alcúdia and Pollença, completely surrounded by medieval town walls.
Within the town walls, you will find the San Jaime parish church which was added as a corner pillar to the fortress. You can walk along both the inside and outside of the well-maintained wall which will also take you past the approximately 100-year-old bullring.
Most of the hotels are situated around Port d'Alcúdia, about 3 km south of the town. During the summer season, Port d'Alcúdia is a busy seaside resort with lots of hotels, apartments, cafés, nightclubs and tourists.
Palma de Mallorca is situated within 45 minutes (60 km) from Alcúdia.
