Las Perlas is a well-structured, user-friendly hotel booking site which features a wide variety of truly stunning, extraordinary hotels in various regions of Spain.

Who are we?
A few years ago, we, the founders of Las Perlas, Karin de Graaf (HEAO, Institute for Business Administration and Economics), Wilbert Jorna (Hotel and Catering College) and our son Sander(9 years old), decided to pack up and leave the busy, cold Netherlands behind to settle in stunning Andalusia, in the South of Spain. This is where the idea to set up Las Perlas came to us, with amazing results. We now have a team of multilingual assistants on hand who ensure that all booking enquiries and bookings are dealt with efficiently and that our customers receive the best customer service possible. Word about Las Perlas has started to spread. A large number of people who made bookings via Las Perlas, have come back full of enthusiasm (please also see: What customers say about Las Perlas). And by now, the press also knows where to find us, the number of articles in Dutch and Belgian magazines, in particular, is growing all the time, partly because of the efforts of our colleague Annemieke Wielandt (please also see: Las Perlas in the Press).
Why Las Perlas?
Wilbert: “During our many trips to various parts of Spain, during fact-finding trips and as part of our preparations to leave the Netherlands, but also while we have been living here, it struck us that there are some incredibly beautiful hotels in Spain.
From our own personal, at times disappointing, experiences, we also know, however, that these fabulous hotels are not always that easy to find. Moreover, we also found that some of the glossy hotel presentations on the booking sites did not always live up to reality.
And so, a great idea was born: we would look for these hidden gems for people and set up Las Perlas!
In April 2008, we launched our website www.lasperlasandalucia.com which features some of the most beautiful hotels Andalusia has to offer and which can be booked via Las Perlas. This concept has proven to be such a success, and since we started, we have received such an enthusiastic response from our customers, that extending our efforts to include the remaining regions in Spain seemed a natural progression. So here we are, welcome to our new site! It features some of the most unique and charming hotels we have managed to locate for you, in other parts of Spain, covering a range of budgets. Whether you are looking for a design hotel, a boutique hotel, a charming hostal or a fabulous cortijo, our aim is to become the best booking site for Spain and we are confident that we will succeed!”
How do we work?
We have cast our critical eyes over every single hotel which has been selected for this site and assessed it in great detail, always using the following questions as a starting point: does this hotel actually differentiate itself from the many hotels on offer, is it so full of charm and character that we would absolutely love to stay there and are guests who stay at this hotel really treated as guests?
We would also like to point out that Las Perlas is completely independent which means that the hotels do not pay us to be featured on this site.
Where do we pay attention to?
The atmosphere and appearance of a hotel. But also important are location, the surroundings, the building, the maintenance of the building, quality of the rooms, the hygiene. And last but not least, the hospitality and friendliness make the difference between a regular hotel and a Las Perlas hotel
Only when the general perception makes us enthusiastic, the hotel will be published on this website.
Is a booking via Las Perlas more expensive than direct?
No. Rates and other prices listed on our website are the exact same as charged by the hotels, or even lower. We also publish special offers on our website and from time to time we even have special offers which are solely for clients of Las Perlas.
If you find a cheaper rate for a night's stay at any of the Las Perlas hotels for the same period anywhere else, let us know and we guarantee to offer you the same low rate.
Another thing worth knowing is that we do not add any extra charges to bookings made via this site.
